The Link Between HVAC, Refrigeration, & Pest Control
There are several ways in which these services are tied together (but first we’ll define each one for clarity):
HVAC
Commercial & Residential
HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; which includes all ventilation or air-moving devices such as fans, blowers, exhausts, and more.
We are experts in all commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) services; including installation, maintenance, & repair.
Refrigeration
Commercial Services
Refrigeration refers to any refrigerating equipment; which includes freezers, coolers, and all other types of cold storage devices.
We are experts in all commercial refrigeration services; including installation, maintenance, repairs,
and EMS (energy management systems).
Pest Control
Pest Control Services
Pest control is the act of controlling pest populations and protecting food, people, and property from these pests.
We are experts in all general pest control services and pest cleanup/sanitation services; including the extermination of ants, spiders, rodents, termites, and more.
Pests are notorious for damaging property and/or harboring in equipment.
Rodents
Rodents chew on anything and everything, including wires and ducting. Rodents may also carry diseases and taint food with waste, fur, and saliva. The pests are also hosts for fleas.
Homeowners may try store bought solutions, like traps or repellents: such as mothballs or essential oils. These methods are not capable of handling a full-blown rodent infestation.
Roaches
Roaches— German roaches especially— are known to inhabit appliances; such as refrigerators, where motor compartments create a warm and humid microclimate that is perfect for their biology (with very easy access to food).
Roaches can contaminate food, breed quickly, trigger allergies & asthma and are very hard to kill with store bought methods.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes— carriers of many diseases— only need a teaspoon of water to lay their eggs in. HVAC and refrigeration equipment all have water elements, even if it is merely condensation that accumulates on the outside of cold pipes.
This makes condensate pans and clogged drains a perfect haven for these pests, since they have plenty of moisture to thrive in
